    This shift will help our meal packaging team with our FedEx clients that are shipped out every Monday and Tuesday.

Our goal is to have at least 6 Volunteers to form a assembly line to make this process efficient.

    We are in need of client meal delivery volunteers Monday- Friday. The shift begins at 7am and generally concludes around 2:30 pm depending on the route and traffic that day.

     

    Volunteers who volunteer in the community representing God’s Love.  As such, we ask that volunteer dress appropriately for the weather and for their volunteer service, wearing clothing that is clean and in good repair.  In addition, volunteers should wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, and should not wear clothing that is revealing.  Volunteers should also pack a light snack and water for the road.

    You must be 18 years of age or older to volunteer with our client meal delivery program. 

    We are in need of client meal delivery volunteers Monday- Friday. The shift begins at 7am and generally concludes around 2:30 pm depending on the route and traffic that day.

     

    Volunteers who volunteer in the community representing God’s Love.  As such, we ask that volunteer dress appropriately for the weather and for their volunteer service, wearing clothing that is clean and in good repair.  In addition, volunteers should wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, and should not wear clothing that is revealing.  Volunteers should also pack a light snack and water for the road.  

     If you register for this opportunity please arrive no later than 7:00am for your shift and be sure to NOTIFY the volunteer department volunteer@glwd.org if you decide to cancel or for any reason you will not make your shift on time.

    Come to God's Love and craft with your child! This opportunity allows for parent/guardians and their charges to help us brighten our clients days by crafting cards for birthdays and other seasonal holidays.

    For people living with severe illness in the New York City metropolitan area, God's Love We Deliver provides nutrition therapy, and cooks and home delivers medically tailored meals. We are a non-sectarian organization. All of our services are provided free to clients and full of love.

    We believe what makes God's Love so special are the personal touches we add to every meal. This includes a decorated seasonal and birthday cards. 

    Feel free to be as creative as you’d like with your drawings, within guidelines. In order for your decorated card to be used, they need to follow the following rules:

                

    • No glitter, sequins, feathers or any other item that is small enough to get into the food containers
    • Please do not write “Get Well Soon”. Appropriate message for Holiday cards is “Happy Holidays or Happy Birthday” on the outside, while the inside reads “From God’s Love We Deliver”
    • Please do not include anything religious; God's Love is a non-sectarian organization and our clients come from various backgrounds and beliefs. Appropriate designs for cards are things such as evergreen trees, snowmen, reindeer, ornaments, presents, lights, snowflakes, winter scenes…
    • Don't use writing materials that smear (like craypa/oil pastels)

    The shift will pack boxes, un pack the clients meals, put meals into a temperature controlled sleeve and then put the sleeve will be put into a box. Once this is done the box will be sealed and the clients fed Ex label along with 2 perishable labels will be added to the box. Our goal is to have at least 6 Volunteers to form a assembly line to make this process efficient.
